Most waterfall destinations in Bali are located in the northern part of the island. However, for those who wish to visit waterfalls closer to the city center, the Gianyar area offers an excellent alternative. In addition to being well known for its tourist attractions in Ubud, Gianyar Regency, Bali, is also home to popular natural attractions among travel enthusiasts.

Some of the most well-known waterfalls in Gianyar include Tegenungan Waterfall and Kanto Lampo Waterfall. This article focuses on Kanto Lampo Waterfall.

Kanto Lampo Waterfall is located in Banjar Kelod Kangin, Beng Village, Gianyar Regency. The travel time from I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali is approximately one and a half hours. The waterfall is located close to Gianyar City center. The parking area is relatively limited, but access to Kanto Lampo Waterfall is very easy, as stairs have been provided. Visitors who wish to enjoy the water need not worry, as changing facilities are available on site.

Kanto Lampo Waterfall is slightly different from most other waterfalls due to its unique terraced rock formations that resemble steps. Water flows through each layer of rock, creating a stunning visual effect. Visitors can climb onto the rocks and take photos while enjoying the refreshing water cascading into the river below. However, caution is advised, as the rocks can be mossy and slippery.

When visiting Kanto Lampo Waterfall, travelers can also explore other nearby waterfalls that are not far away, such as Goa Rang Reng Waterfall and Tibumana Waterfall.
