Mangupura, November 26, 2024 — I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport has once again achieved national recognition through its participation in the 2024 SNI Awards. This marks the airport’s first time taking part in the prestigious event, where it successfully earned an award.
The SNI Award is a form of government appreciation for businesses and organizations that consistently implement the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) and demonstrate excellence and sustainability in their performance. Organized by Indonesia’s National Standardization Agency (BSN), the 2024 SNI Award was the 19th edition since its inception in 2005.
On its debut participation, I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport received the Bronze Award. The airport’s General Manager, Ahmad Syaugi Shahab, expressed his gratitude for the recognition. “This is the result of our shared commitment to consistently deliver high-quality services by applying SNI ISO-based management systems for our passengers. However, we must not become complacent and will continue to innovate to always meet—and even exceed—expectations,” he said.
In its daily operations, I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport has implemented several management systems, including the Quality Management System (SNI ISO 9001:2015), Occupational Health and Safety Management System (SNI ISO 45001:2018), Environmental Management System (SNI ISO 14001:2018), Energy Management System (SNI ISO 50001:2018), and a centralized Anti-Bribery Management System.
“We apply these management systems to ensure that every business process at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport is conducted according to the highest standards, enabling us to deliver excellent service to both airport users and corporate stakeholders. The Bronze Award at the 2024 SNI Awards is concrete proof that our management systems are being applied consistently. We believe this recognition will further motivate us to continuously improve and provide superior services to all passengers,” Syaugi added.
Deputy Minister of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia, Faisol Riza, who delivered remarks during the award ceremony on Thursday (Nov 21), emphasized the strategic role of SNI in boosting national industry performance. “SNI supports the revitalization of labor-intensive industries, the development of green industries, and strategic sectors such as agriculture, metals, machinery, transportation, electronics, as well as small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The award recipients are expected to become role models in encouraging broader adoption of SNI,” he said.
