Mangupura, October 11, 2025 — The management of I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport – Bali sincerely apologizes to all airport users, stakeholders, and the public for the power outage incident that occurred within the airport area on Friday, October 10, 2025, from 6:13 PM to 7:18 PM (Central Indonesia Time). Upon the occurrence of the outage, the technical team immediately conducted an investigation and implemented necessary measures to ensure the safety, security, and continuity of services throughout all airport areas. As a result of the incident, a total of 74 flights experienced schedule adjustments consisting of 42 international and 32 domestic flights. During air traffic management, the airport also recorded eight aircrafts placed on holding patterns while the power disruption was being resolved.
Despite temporary delays, the management confirmed that all scheduled passengers and flights on Friday (October 10) were successfully departed and accommodated by early Saturday morning (October 11). Arriving flights were also handled accordingly once power was fully restored. Based on operational records, the last departure was Garuda Indonesia flight GIA 870 bound for Incheon, which took off at 2:16 AM (WITA). General Manager of I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Ahmad Syaugi Shahab, stated, “Our monitoring results from Saturday (October 11) morning until this afternoon indicate that all flight operations, passenger services, and traffic flow for drop-off and pick-up areas are running normally and smoothly,” said Syaugi.
The management of I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport also expressed appreciation to all related parties who supported operational handling during the incident. The airport reaffirms its commitment to conducting a thorough evaluation and continuously improving infrastructure reliability to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
